EastPack Notes

The EastPack Notes were issued on 16 December 2022.

Summary of the Notes:

  • First year interest rate set at 8.9% p.a.
  • Minimum interest rate 8.5% p.a. set annually
  • 5 year investment term with the option for EastPack to redeem after three years
  • Interest paid quarterly
  • Unsecured, subordinated, fixed rate debt securities
  • Open to all investors in New Zealand
  • Minimum investment $20,000

The interest rate for the year to 16 December 2023 has been fixed at 8.9% p.a. The interest rate will be reset annually with effect on 16 December each year.

Interest will be paid quarterly in arrears in equal instalments on 16 February, 16 May, 16 August and 16 November of each year (or if that day is not a Business Day, the next Business Day).  The first Interest Payment Date is 16 February 2023.

EastPack Notes are an investment in the continued growth of EastPack, one of New Zealand's largest kiwifruit post-harvest operators.

The Notes offer a minimum interest rate of 8.5% p.a., OR the five-year-government bond rate +4.5%, whichever is highest.  This means if the five-year government bond rate goes up, so will the interest rate.  This interest rate return is set annually.

The money raised by EastPack Notes will fund the continued growth of EastPack.

Trading of the Notes

EastPack Notes are listed on the Syndex trading platform.  The platform allows investors to trade the EastPack Notes and acts as an intermediary exchange for investors wishing to either buy or sell.  Investors will need to establish and log in to their Syndex investor portal in order to trade the Notes, and may also use the portal to access reporting and communications from Issuer (noting that the reporting and communications can also be received by email.)  There is no charge to investors to access or view information on the Syndex investor portal.  Charges will apply when buying or selling the Notes on the Syndex platform.
