Hamish Simson
Chief Executive Officer

Hamish joined EastPack in May 2015 after 5 years as CEO of AFFCO.  Hamish is an experienced executive with a number of leadership roles at CEO, General Manager, and Executive Director levels.  His recent experience has been leading the competitive improvements at AFFCO through production efficiencies, process and revenue improvements, and resulting growth in market share. Merv Dallas
Chief Financial Officer

Merv joined EastPack in 2016 after being Interim CFO at Compac Sorting Equipment and was previously CFO at Zespri for nine years.  Merv has held a number of senior financial roles and has worked in Europe, Australia, Asia and the Pacific Islands with experience also in shipping, commercial banking, and the hospitality industry.  He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland.  He is also a Ministerial Appointee on the Council of the University of Waikato holding the position of Pro-Chancellor and Chairperson of the University's Audit and Risk Committee.  Email Merv 

Phil Karl
General Manager - Operations 

Phil joined EastPack in 2016 after many years in the Dairy Industry. Phil is an experienced operators leader with extensive experience right across the supply chain.  He has a proven history of leading large and complex site operations, and has delivered significant performance improvement in operations, health and safety, commercial and quality areas of the buinesses. Richard Fraser-Mackenzie
General Manager Logistics & Supply

Richard is responsible for the Order and Supply function at EastPack and is currently General Manager of Southlink (EastPack’s Supply Group). Richard has previously worked for Zespri in a commercial role for non-New Zealand supply. He originates from Zimbabwe where he was involved in a family farming business. Email Richard

Braden Hungerford
General Manager - Grower & Orchard Performance

Braden returned to EastPack in September 2016 after a peroid of time redeveloping a number of kiwifruit orchards. Previously he held Regional, Tech Transfer and Orchard Management roles within EastPack.

He also has experience in Operations Management, Product and Orchard Development. Email Braden 

Heather Burton
General Manager - Human Resources

Heather joined EastPack in June 2013 and brings a wealth of experience and expertise in all aspects of Human Resources including; leadership and personnel development, talent management, employee engagement, recruitment, and health and safety.  Heather's previous role was Group HR Manager for ANZCO Foods, a large South Island meat company and also held senior HR roles in manufacturing and FMCG. Anthony Pangborn
General Manager - Technical / Fruit Optimisation 

After completing a Bachelor of Commerce and Agriculture at Lincoln University, Anthony took a job at EastPack Quarry Rd in 2007. Since then he has worked in a number of roles within EastPack, predominantly in the Grower Services/Technical areas. Most recently, he has focussed on optimisation through the implementation of fruit monitoring systems both on orchard and in coolstore and promoting the EastPack Quality Chain. Anthony feels fortunate to have been provided opportunities through the kiwifruit industry such as the Bruce Stowell Exchange Scholarship in 2010 and the Kellogg Rural Leadership Programme in 2016. Neil Te Kani
Manager Maori Relations

Neil has significant governance experience in the New Zealand kiwifruit industry and was instrumental in the development of the Kiwifruit Industry Strategy Project (KISP). Neil is a trustee on several Maori Trust boards and is the Chairperson of Te Awanui Huka Pak, a company with commercial developments across the BOP and Waikato regions.  Neil's role is part of EastPack's long-term strategy to support the substantial growth of Maori investment in the kiwifruit industry. Ginny Moore
Business Improvement Manager

Ginny has worked closely with the EastPack team since 2011 and has been intrumental in implimenting strategies to increase production efficiencies through operational aspects of the business. Ginny is now responsible for ensuring operational processes are optimised and best practise continues to evolve. Email Ginny
