EastPack has packhouse facilities at the heart of the kiwifruit industry in Te Puke, Edgecumbe and Opotiki – and our three sites are just minutes from sandy beaches. We pride ourselves on looking after our growers and our staff.

EastPack employs approximately 80 permanent staff year round to work in our packhouses and coolstores in Te Puke, Edgecumbe and Opotiki. During our main kiwifruit packing season (mid March to late September) we employ an additional 1,400 seasonal staff.

Shift hours for each site are:

Te Puke

        Day shift    –  Tuesday to Sunday 8.00am to 6.30pm  -  Day off MONDAY 

        Day shift    –  Wednesday to Monday 8.00am to 6.30pm  -  Day off TUESDAY

        Day shift    –  Thursday to Tuesday 8.00am to 6.30pm  -  Day off WEDNESDAY

        Night shift  –  Friday to Wednesday 7:30pm to 6:00am  -  Night off THURSDAY

Job-share and on-call positions may also be available. Applications accepted for main packing season from mid January, with assessment training being held during late February to mid March, for work available from late March through till mid June.
